The first reward of official visit season has been made official for Mel Tucker and company. Four-star cornerback Chance Rucker has made the decision to commit to Michigan State. The Denton, Texas, native officially visited East Lansing this past weekend and made the move to join Michigan State’s 2023 recruiting class.

Rucker attends Ryan High School in Denton where he plays defensive back. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Rucker is a 4-star prospect that ranks as the No. 275 overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 28 cornerback in the nation.
Aside from Michigan State, Rucker held offers and interest from Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Texas and Texas A&M among others.
Rucker is the seventh recruit in MSU’s 2023 recruiting class, joining Andrew Depaepe, Brennan Parachek, Kedrick Reescano, Jonathan Slack, Bo Edmunson and Eddie Pleasant.
