Even on Christmas Eve, Mel Tucker’s roster overhaul at Michigan State Football doesn’t slow down. On Thursday, the thirteenth Spartan since Nov. 16 entered the NCAA transfer portal, and this time it was a player that seemed poised to do big things with the program in cornerback Chris Jackson.
Jackson was a talented 3-star recruit from Lassiter High School in Georgia when he arrived in East Lansing in 2018. Jackson played in five games in 2019 as a redshirt freshman and then started the first two games in 2020, totaling 190 snaps overall through the season. However, in December, Mel Tucker announced that Jackson was no longer with the team for undisclosed reasons.
