For the third year in a row and the fourth time in five years, a Michigan State Football cornerback will leave school early to enter the 2021 NFL Draft. On Monday, redshirt junior Shakur Brown announced that he will leave school to enter the draft.
Brown will be one of MSU’s best hopes to extend their NFL Draft streak to 81 straight years. For the past 80 years, the Spartans have had at least one player selected.
Brown joins a recent slew of defensive backs who have left the program early after being noticed by draft scouts. A list that includes: Montae Nicholson, Justin Layne, and Josiah Scott.

Brown has had a sensational junior season, where his 5 interceptions on the year are tied for first in the country. That ability to find the ball should get him some looks by NFL teams at the next level.
