The Warriors and Kings matched up in the first round of the playoffs in the Western Conference, which means a Steve Kerr – Mike Brown showdown.
Brown, who won the NBA Coach of the Year Award for Sacramento’s remarkable year-over-year turnaround, was an associate coach on Golden State’s bench for several years
He worked directly alongside Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who won the NBA’s Coach of the Year Award in 2016. During the third game of the series, Kerr was mic’d up and the broadcast captured exactly what he said to Brown when the two briefly met up courtside on the sideline:
"We got all new plays now. You don't know any of them." 😂

Kerr joked with Brown that just because he had experience coaching Golden State doesn’t give him much insight into the offense:
“Hey, Mike. We’ve got all new plays now. You don’t know any of them. We’ve got all new plays.”
The two head coaches laughed and Brown joked that while everyone assumed he would know how to gameplan for the Warriors, it is no easy task!
Although the Kings took a 2-0 lead to start the series, Golden State won the next two games to even it up 2-2 before heading back to Sacramento.
