Heat at Pacers picks and predictions

Prediction

Pacers 119, Heat 117

Moneyline

LEAN PACERS (-130).

These types of “baseball series'” where teams meet for back-to-back matchups are almost always split in the NBA, so this is a pretty safe bet based on that alone. Furthermore, I simply don’t see the Pacers losing their third straight game here, so I’m backing them here as slight favorites.

Against the spread

LEAN HEAT +2.5 (-110).

Miami has covered the spread in 2 of its last 3 games and is 3-1 ATS in its last 4 matchups against the Pacers. Miami and Indiana are very similarly calibered teams at the moment, so look for this matchup to be close throughout.

This is a lean because a spread of 2.5-points leaves almost no margin for error, automatically making the bet risky.

Over/Under

BET OVER 229.5 (-110).

The Over has hit in back-to-back games for Miami and is 4-1 in its last 5 games. For Indiana, the Over is 5-0 in its 5 home games this year and 8-4 on  the season. The Over has also hit in each of the last 5 matchups between these squads.

With defenders like Nesmith and Nemhard still out for the Pacers, their defense will continue to struggle, making the Over here a safe bet.
