Meleek Thomas, who has the potential to be the top-ranked recruit in the 2025 recruiting class, was offered by Rutgers basketball on Thursday.
A 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard from Lincoln Park Performing Arts (Midland, PA), Thomas is a five-star recruit and the seventh-best player in the nation according to 247Sports.
In offering Thomas, Rutgers joined a crowded field that includes Alabama, UConn, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Penn State, and Providence among others. All those offers have come for Thomas since May.
Given his complete skillset, Thomas could very easily be the top player in the 2025 recruiting class when all is said and done.

He tweeted about the offer from Rutgers on Thursday afternoon.
The 2024 recruiting class is off to a solid start for Rutgers basketball. It includes five-star forward Air Bailey and four-star center Lathan Sommerville. This week, the 2024 class added four-star Bryce Dortch, a forward from Massachusetts.
The 2024 class is currently the second-highest-ranked class in the nation.
