Philadelphia 76ers rookie Matisse Thybulle continues to make a big impact on the floor defensively so far to begin his career, but he is capturing the attention of fans across the globe with his YouTube channel.
Thybulle has been releasing these YouTube video blogs called “Inside the Bubble” and after the team’s 108-101 win over the Orlando Magic on Friday, the rookie released episode number 7 in the series.
This one featured a sneak-peek into a regular game-day routine for him at Disney World which includes waking and getting after it with the team around 11:00 A.M. EST. He then had to prepare for a special interview with popular television host Jimmy Fallon as he was brought on to discuss the popularity of the videos.
However, Thybulle also used the platform to discuss why he chose the social message “vote” on the back of his jersey and why it’s so important to him in a powerful way. It also includes an emotional phone call with his father just before the interview with Fallon that really shows how proud the elder Thybulle is of his son.
The video finishes off in a dramatic way with Shake Milton’s game-winner over the San Antonio Spurs.
It has been absolutely impressive that Thybulle has continued to push these videos out. The content, the editing, and the labors of love in these videos are felt and he has done an incredible job of capturing what life truly is like in a unique situation inside this bubble.
