Madden NFL 23 ratings: Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey still a beast

Despite playing in only 10 games since 2020, Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey is still one of Madden’s most lethal rushers.

It may be easy to forget how good Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey really is. After all, he’s missed 23 of a possible 33 games over the past two seasons.

But you know who hasn’t forgotten? The folks over at EA Sports.

On Wednesday, the third set of ratings for Madden NFL 23 were revealed. This group—which has been preceded by the wide receivers, tight ends, defensive ends and linebackers—included the league’s running backs, safeties and specialists.

And coming in as the second-highest rated rusher at a sparkling 96 overall is, of course, McCaffrey.

Tied with Cleveland’s Nick Chubb for that No. 2 spot, the 26-year-old looks up only at Tennessee’s Derrick Henry—who pulled in a 97. As for the finer marks—McCaffrey ranks first amongst all backs in agility (96), first in catching (83) and is tied for third in acceleration (93).

Here’s how all the Panthers unveiled on the day rated out:

  • HB Christian McCaffrey: 96
  • SS Jeremy Chinn: 82
  • FS Xavier Woods: 77
  • K Zane Gonzalez: 75
  • HB Chuba Hubbard: 74
  • HB D’Onta Foreman: 71
  • FS Myles Hartsfield: 67
  • SS Juston Burris: 66
  • FS Kenny Robinson Jr.: 66
  • FS Sean Chandler: 66
  • SS Sam Franklin Jr.: 65
  • HB Darius Bradwell: 61
