Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde was the highest-rated player on the Bills when EA Sports released their initial rosters for last year’s installment of their NFL football game series, Madden. This year, Hyde isn’t that, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t among the game’s best.
EA Sports has released their ratings throughout this week via the top-10 players at each position. Hyde slotted in as an 88 overall at his safety position. It’s rumored that Hyde is the third-best player on Buffalo’s roster in the game now, behind Stefon Diggs (rumored a 92), and Tre’Davious White (officially announced a 90).
In regard to that top-10, where does Hyde reside? Well let’s take a look. Here’s the top-10 safeties in the upcoming game, Madden 21:

Hyde’s rating has him in good company at the No.9 overall spot. It remains to be seen where his partner, Jordan Poyer, resides. The two make one of the league’s best safety duos, however, Poyer is often the one in the background not getting the national recognition for his skills. Of the two, only Hyde has a Pro Bowl (2017) appearance. Perhaps the 2020 season could see that start change for Poyer, who shouldn’t be ranked very far outside of the top-10.
