Mac Jones was at one point the favorite to win the Heisman as the 2020 season went on and some unforeseen events took place. Regardless of how it happened, he’s been in the conversation for most of the season.
However, in recent weeks Florida’s starting quarterback Kyle Trask has been in the top spot with the best odds to win the coveted award.
Jones left it all on the field in last week’s game against No. 22 Auburn in the Iron Bowl. He tallied 18 completions for 302 yards and five touchdowns.
Heisman numbers.
Kyle Trask, however, completed 21 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns.
Oddsmakers at BetMGM still have Trask above Jones to win the award, but not by much.
