LSU women’s basketball signee Mikaylah Williams begins FIBA U18 3×3 World Cup on Wednesday

The No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class will look to become the third Tiger to win a medal with Team USA this offseason.

[autotag]Mikaylah Williams[/autotag], an LSU signee and the top women’s basketball recruit in the 2023 class, will begin her run at the FIBA U18 3×3 World Cup in Hungary on Wednesday.

Williams is the reigning USA Basketball 3×3 Player of the Year.

Team USA opens with a pair of games against Brazil and Germany at 11:20 a.m. and 2:35 p.m. CT, respectively. The United States will be back in action again on Friday for contests against Hungary (1:10 p.m.) and France (2:35 p.m.).

The top two teams in pool play advance to play on Sunday, where they will need to win three games in one day to capture a championship.

Williams will look to join new teammates [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] and [autotag]Hailey Van Lith[/autotag] in earning medals with Team USA this offseason.
