One of the top running backs in college football is leaving school early to jump to the pro ranks.

LSU’s Clyde Edwards-Helaire is foregoing his senior season and will declare for the 2020 NFL draft. He announced his intentions via social media Wednesday.

Fresh off a National Championship victory over Clemson in which he put up more than 150 total yards, Edwards-Helaire is a dynamic runner with an impressive combination of power and agility.

Edwards-Helaire is widely considered to be one of the top running back prospects in this year’s draft class. He should hear his name called on Day 2. Edwards-Helaire has the skill set to quickly become a key piece on an NFL offense.
