LSU’s men’s basketball team already has two commitments in the 2024 recruiting class, both of which rank in the top 100.
The Tigers currently have a top-20 class, but that ranking could rise even more if [autotag]Matt McMahon[/autotag] can land some of the top players he has the team in the mix for, namely four-star shooting guard [autotag]Billy Richmond[/autotag].
Richmond ranks as a top-25 overall prospect in the country, and the Camden, New Jersey, prospect trimmed his list of schools down to four on Wednesday, per On3’s Joe Tipton: LSU, Kentucky, Alabama and Memphis.
There are currently no Crystal Ball projections for Richmond, but Kentucky is the heavy favorite per On3 at 87.4% to land him. LSU has the lowest odds of the finalists at just 2.6%.

McMahon has already pulled off one major surprise in this cycle, stealing [autotag]Curtis Givens III[/autotag] from Memphis, and he’ll look to pull off another heist with a player conference rival Kentucky and John Calipari covet.
