LSU football coach Brian Kelly to attend College World Series final against Florida in Omaha

Kelly won’t be able to make it for Game 1, but he’ll reportedly be in the stands for Game 2.

The LSU athletics department likes to throw around the word “alignment,” and we’ll see a good example of that in action this weekend when the Tigers baseball team faces off against Florida in the College World Series final in Omaha.

According to On3, football coach [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] will be flying out to attend Game 2 on Saturday, though he won’t be able to make it for Game 1. On3 also reports that Gators basketball coach Todd Golden will also be in attendance.

It’s a relatively dead period for Tigers football as we’re in the lull before fall camp begins — though LSU remains very active on the recruiting trail. Kelly will take advantage of the most leisurely time in his calendar to cheer on the Tigers for what they hope will be their seventh national championship in baseball and first under coach [autotag]Jay Johnson[/autotag].
