LSU baseball’s Tommy White, Hayden Travinski named to preseason All-SEC teams

The Tigers lost some key pieces last season, but they return some big-time contributors, as well.

College baseball season is right around the corner, and despite losing several key pieces from last season’s national championship squad, the LSU Tigers have retooled and enter 2024 as a top-five team once again.

The media released its preseason projections for the SEC on Thursday, and the Tigers were picked to finish second in the West division behind Arkansas. The Razorbacks won the division last year, but the Tigers got the last laugh as they captured the College World Series title.

LSU also received the second-most votes to win the SEC behind the Hogs.

However, the media also released the preseason All-SEC teams, and they feature a pair of Tigers players. Third baseman [autotag]Tommy White[/autotag] is a First-Teamer as he looks to build on a fantastic first season at LSU, while veteran designated hitter/utility hitter [autotag]Hayden Travinski[/autotag] is on the Second Team.

White was a First-Team All-American in 2023, while Travinski took over the catcher job by the end of the year and opted to return to Baton Rouge for his final season.
