Looking into LSU’s two most pressing areas of concern against Missouri

LSU has two primary areas of concern as the Tigers face off against Missouri on Saturday.

Offensive line

The offensive line was much-improved last week against Vanderbilt in protecting Myles Brennan.

But, this unit could be an area of concern each week given the fact that Brennan is still transitioning into being the starter.

Liam Shanahan and Ed Ingram have been solid up front. Austin Deculus has had a couple of questionable plays. Dare Rosenthal and Chasen Hines have also been productive in pass protection.

Going into a new environment in Columbia, Missouri, could spell trouble early for LSU. Missouri’s defense has four sacks through two games. In comparison, quarterback Myles Brennan has been sacked seven times through the first two games.

Keeping Brennan in the pocket will be key for the Tigers’ front, but also getting blocks downfield in the running game and opening lanes will be a key factor for the unit.
