There was a lot happening on the Forty Acres this weekend.
Texas baseball and softball each opened Big 12 Conference play with a series win over Texas Tech. The Longhorns men’s basketball team also recorded a dominant Sweet 16 win over Penn State in the NCAA Tournament on Friday evening.
Amidst all of the other programs successes, Steve Sarkisian and his staff were hosting Junior Day on campus. Texas welcomed numerous highly rated recruits from the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes.
Five-star EDGE Colin Simmons was the most notable of the visitors this weekend, who reportedly received an Arch Manning style treatment in Austin.
Texas appears to be gaining steam on the recruiting trail for the 2024 class. Five-star wide receiver Micah Hudson received a recruiting prediction in favor of the Longhorns earlier this week and the general review of Junior Day appeared to be a success for other top recruits.
