LOOK. Ryan Day vows to fight for 2020 Ohio State football season

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day took to Twitter this afternoon to vow and fight for a college football season for his team this fall.

The news and reaction coming out after the rumors of the impending end to the 2020 college football season has been hard to keep up with, but the reaction has been overwhelming, coordinated, and swift in pushing back on hopes to save the season.

Earlier today, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh actually did something Buckeye Nation can get behind when he spoke out in support of playing the season in a statement through the university.

That left us wondering how Ohio State head coach Ryan Day felt about where things are. It didn’t take very long to find out.

Day took to Twitter to this afternoon with what looked like a promise to try and turn things around and to fight as hard as he possibly can to move forward in having a season for his Ohio State team.

What’s important here is that this isn’t just anyone coming out with a stance. This is the head coach of Ohio State, the team that moves the needle and is the flag-bearer of the Big Ten, the conference that has started all of this move to cancel or postpone the season.

And make no mistake about it: That tweet doesn’t get sent unless his boss (Gene Smith), and other administrators at Ohio State feel the same way.

And if there’s any team in the country best positioned to swing its influence on this whole deal, it’s the team that resides in Columbus, Ohio on the banks fo the Olentangy.

Maybe, just maybe there’s still a chance that we’ll have a college football season this fall because Ryan Day doesn’t swing and miss very often.
