Towards the midway point of the second half, Auburn took a 14-10 lead over Alabama. Soon after, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe connected on a 68-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jermaine Burton to take a 17-14 lead.
The touchdown was a momentum-shifting play for the Crimson Tide. After the defense had struggled the previous two drives, the offense responded with a pivotal touchdown with several minutes remaining in the half.
