Longhorns remain No. 3 in US LBM Coaches Poll ahead of Aggie game

Longhorns remain No. 3 in US LBM Coaches Poll after beating Kentucky at home 31-14. The top four in the ranking all stayed the same.

There was no change in the top four of the latest US LBM Coaches Poll this week. That means the Texas Longhorns remain No. 3 in the ranking.

Oregon again takes the top spot with Big Ten rival Ohio State at No. 2. Penn State remains No. 4 in the poll. Notre Dame slots in at No. 5 after Indiana’s loss to the Buckeyes. The Hoosiers dropped five spots to No. 10.

The Georgia Bulldogs, who have clinched a spot in the SEC Championship Game, moved up two spots to No. 6. Miami, Tennessee and SMU all moved up three spots to round out the Top 10.

Other SEC teams in the poll moved down. Alabama slipped six spots after getting blasted by Oklahoma. Ole Miss is down five spots after a loss at Florida and the Aggies fell five spots after their quadruple overtime loss at Auburn.

Bucking the trend, the South Carolina Gamecocks are up five spots to No. 14. Arizona State leaped seven spots, while Colorado and Kansas State both dropped out of the ranking.
