We have our first blockbuster trade of the 2021 NFL offseason, and we’re still not even to the Super Bowl yet.

The Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams are swapping former No. 1 overall picks, as Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff will switch teams, with a pair of future first-round picks heading to the Lions, as well.

The deal also includes a future third-round pick heading to the Lions, as a new era begins for Detroit under head coach Dan Campbell, and Sean McVay gets a veteran passer to lead his innovative offense.

Here are the full details of the trade, courtesy of NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero:

Goff was the last player the Rams selected in the first round, since they’ve traded all of their other first-round picks since. Now with this deal, they’ll go another two years without a first-rounder, making it seven straight years without a first-round pick for the Rams.
