LeBron’s Ladder company aims for rituals over resolutions

The Los Angeles Lakers star’s nutrition and health company is trying a new mindset for people looking to accomplish New Year’s goals.

LeBron James is always busy, whether or not his team is at the top of the Western Conference standings. Earlier this week, the Liverpool squad that he is a part-owner of announced a new partnership with his long-time legacy brand partner Nike. And one of his other endeavors is using the New Year to try to get people to think differently about their New Year’s Resolutions.

LeBron’s Ladder company, which is a nutrition company that James co-founded last year with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Cindy Crawford, Lindsey Vonn, and LeBron’s personal trainer Mike Mancias, launched a “Rituals > Resolutions” campaign for the new year. Mancias is also part of a big promotion that Ladder is doing in February.

Here are more details of “The Challenge,” from Ladder.

The Challenge: To jump start that process of turning temporary resolutions into sustainable rituals, Ladder will be launching The Ladder Challenge on February 1 led by LeBron’s trainer Mike Mancias, who will offer a workout program that establishes new fitness rituals – things that anyone and everyone can do. More than a typical fitness challenge, The Ladder Challenge is about community and accountability, engaging its participants in unique and socially-driven ways with insights from the experts along the way.

  • 30-day challenge has both cardio and strength components
  • Mike Mancias will kick off the exercises and engage with participants weekly, following up with videos, social posts, and blogs
  • Participants can engage with others taking the challenge socially using #LadderChallenge
