Latest CBS mock only has two Bama players in first round

According to the latest CBS Sports mock draft, only two Alabama players are being predicted to go in round one of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Assuming that the 2020 college football season is still played due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the 2021 NFL Draft will be very fascinating to watch, considering there are several Alabama players who are predicted to go in the first round. Many NFL mock drafts have 6 Alabama players drafted in the first round but according to the latest CBS Sports mock draft, only two Alabama players are being predicted to go in round one of the 2021 NFL Draft.

This past draft, Alabama had four players drafted in the first round. Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa was drafted by Miami as the fifth pick, Jedrick Wills Jr. was drafted by the Cleveland Browns as the 10th pick, Henry Ruggs III was drafted as the 12th pick by the Las Vegas Raiders and Jerry Jeudy was the last Alabama player taken off the board in the first round as the 15th pick to the Denver Broncos.

Could Alabama possibly only have 2 Alabama players drafted in round one?Time will tell, but let’s see which two players CBS Sports has being drafted, and where:

“It’s depressing when you see the children of players you watched growing up showing up in mock drafts. What isn’t depressing is Surtain’s ability as a corner. I have Shaun Wade as my top corner in this draft as of now, but Surtain could easily be the first one off the board by next spring.”

Surtain has been a starter for Alabama since starting as a true freshman in 2018. In his career, he has recorded 79 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 2 interceptions. Surtain will be looking to have an NFL career like his father, Patrick Surtain, who spent 10 years in the NFL playing cornerback for the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.
