We are just a few months away from the (hopeful) start of college football. Until then, we are occupying our time with NFL mocks, schedule predictions, player spotlight, and, so on.
USA Today’s Draft Wire posted their latest mock draft for the 2021 NFL draft, and they have 6 Alabama players who they predict will be drafted in the first round.
This past draft, Alabama had four players drafted in the first round. Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa was drafted by Miami as the fifth pick, Jedrick Wills Jr. was drafted by the Cleveland Browns as the 10th pick, Henry Ruggs III was drafted as the 12th pick by the Las Vegas Raiders and Jerry Jeudy was the last Alabama player taken off the board in the first round as the 15th pick to the Denver Broncos.
Here’s the 6 players they see being drafted in the order of the mock draft:
Surtain has been a starter for Alabama since starting as a true freshman in 2018. In his career, he has recorded 79 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 2 interceptions. Surtain will be looking to have an NFL career like his father, Patrick Surtain, who spent 10 years in the NFL playing cornerback for the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs.
