The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. PT and can be seen on NBA TV, Spectrum SportsNet and AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain.

Los Angeles (21-22) is seeking an end to its three-game losing streak, with the most recent loss being a 37-point loss to the Denver Nuggets. But the next test for the Lakers is Utah (29-14), a team in third place in the Western Conference and coming off a win against the Nuggets.

The Lakers have the rest advantage with the Jazz on the second night of a back-to-back, but L.A. doesn’t have the edge in the frontcourt against Rudy Gobert, who dropped 18 points and 19 rebounds on 7-of-7 shooting against Denver.

Jazz at Lakers notable injuries:

Lakers: OUT – Anthony Davis (MCL), Kendrick Nunn (knee); Probable – LeBron James (abdominal), Dwight Howard (knee); Questionable – Carmelo Anthony (back)

Jazz: Utah hasn’t yet submitted an official injury report for the game. Per ESPN, Rookie Jared Butler had entered health and safety protocol on Jan. 10. Elijah Hughes entered protocol on Jan. 16. Hassan Whiteside has been ruled out since Jan. 12.

Advice and prediction

This certainly has the potential to be a high-scoring game. Utah is No. 1 in the league in points per game at 115.3, and L.A. is tied for No. 4 with 111.7 points. However, Utah’s defense is above-average while the Lakers have been near the bottom without Anthony Davis. If the Lakers don’t put in effort as in their last game, this could again get ugly. But since L.A. hasn’t proven to be consistent, take the Jazz minus-4.5, Jazz minus-200 and the under 230.5.

Prediction: Jazz 117, Lakers 108
