Lakers sign guard Damion Baugh to Exhibit 10 contract

The Lakers have taken a flyer on another undrafted free agent.

The Los Angeles Lakers drafted Indiana University guard Jalen Hood-Schifino and Pepperdine University wing Maxwell Lewis in the first and second rounds, respectively, of Thursday’s NBA draft. Although the reaction to them taking Hood-Schifino has been mixed, the team has high hopes for both players.

But the two will not be the only prospects Los Angeles looks at.

After the draft, it signed center Colin Castleton and guard D’Moi Hodge as undrafted free agents. Then it snagged forward Alex Fudge on an Exhibit 10 contract.

In addition, the Lakers decided to give an Exhibit 10 deal to Damion Baugh, a guard out of Texas Christian University (h/t Lakers Daily).

Baugh has potential as a penetrator and distributor, as well as a contributor on the defensive end. However, the 6-foot-4 guard isn’t a good 3-point shooter, at least not yet.

A more detailed look at Baugh can be seen here.
