Laiatu Latu lands with Falcons in trade-filled mock draft

This would be a busy night.

There are a ton of different scenarios involving the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. UCLA star Laiatu Latu will surely hear his name called on Thursday night, it’s just a matter of when.

R.J. White of CBS Sports had a mock draft that included EIGHT first-round trades. In it, Latu goes to the Atlanta Falcons at No. 11 overall as the Vikings traded the pick to Atlanta. Here’s what was written about the Latu selection:

Went back and forth between making this Dallas Turner or Latu and initially went Turner, but the markets have now moved to make Latu the favorite at No. 8 at some spots so I’m going to go with my initial gut instinct. The Falcons turn their second-round pick into another first-round pick and still wind up with their choice of edge rusher. I’m not ruling out them trading down a little further with him as the target either, and Turner is obviously another option at this point.

There is a chance the first round could get incredibly busy, as suggested here, and in it, Latu ends up with the Atlanta Falcons. Crazier things have happened.
