Lady Vols tie season-high for home runs in a game at Western Carolina.

No. 14 Tennessee notched a midweek victory on the road Wednesday, defeating Western Carolina, 9-1, at Catamount Softball Complex in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

The Lady Vols (27-12, 8-6 SEC) won the game in five innings and hit five home runs against Western Carolina (15-24, 2-7 SoCon).

Ivy Davis and McKenna Gibson each homered twice and drove in three runs against the Catamounts.

Kiki Milloy also had a solo home run and a two-run single.

The Lady Vols led 2-0 in the third inning before scoring three more runs in the fourth and tallying four more times in the fifth.

Erin Edmoundson (15-4) pitched a complete game. She surrendered one run and two hits, while posting nine strikeouts.

Western Carolina scored on a home run by Bailey Treadwell in the fifth inning.
