The Lady Vols suffer its first conference loss at Auburn.

No. 4 Tennessee had its nine-game winning streak come to an end at Auburn Thursday.

The Lady Vols (18-2, 7-1 SEC) lost a 71-61 decision to Auburn (9-10, 1-7 SEC). The loss is Tennessee’s first in Southeastern Conference play this season.

Jordan Horston had 21 points and eight rebounds for Tennessee, which held a 17-16 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Auburn led, 39-28, at halftime.

Tennessee outscored the Tigers, 23-11, in the quarter to open a 51-50 lead. The Lady Vols scored 10 points over the final 10 minutes of the contest.

Auburn had four players post double figures in the scoring column: Aicha Coulibaly 26, Sania Wells 13, Jala Johnson 11 and Annie Hughes 10.

Jordan Walker scored 17 points for the Lady Vols.
