Lady Vols ranked No. 1 in 2022 SEC preseason coaches’ poll

The Lady Vols are ranked No. 1 in the 2022 SEC preseason coaches’ poll.

Tennessee has been selected by the Southeastern Conference coaches to win the 2022 league title.

The Lady Vols won the 2021 SEC championship.

Arkansas was selected second, followed by South Carolina, Auburn and Alabama.

Georgia and Vanderbilt were tied for sixth, followed by Texas A&M, Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Missouri and Florida.

The Lady Vols enter the 2022 season ranked No. 11 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.

Tennessee has 10 returning starters from its 2021 team that won a program best 20 matches.

The Lady Vols (20-3) advanced to the Round of 16 in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

Tennessee opens its 2022 campaign Thursday at North Carolina. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. EDT. The match will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.

Tennessee has defeated Notre Dame and Dayton in exhibition games.
