The Lady Vols defeat Belmont and records sixth straight shutout.

No. 7 Tennessee (12-1) won its home opener Friday, defeating Belmont (9-4), 19-0, in five innings in the Tennessee Classic at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

It is the seventh consecutive win for the Lady Vols.

Tennessee led, 1-0, in the first inning when Kiki Milloy scored on a sacrifice fly by Zaida Puni.

Tennessee scored nine runs in the second and third innings, taking an advantage of four errors by the Bruins resulting in eight unearned run for the Lady Vols.

Milloy and Rylie West each hit two-run home runs for Tennessee, while leadoff hitter and shortstop Mackenzie Donihoo went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs and two RBIs.

Shakara Goodloe stole home in the game for Tennessee.

Pitcher Ashley Rogers (4-0) earned the win for Tennessee, allowing two hits and recording five strikeouts.

Charli Orsini pitched two innings of relief and recorded three strikeouts. She allowed one hit and issued one intentional walk.
