Knicks assign Miles McBride to Westchester in G League

McBride has seen minimal playing time with the Knicks this season, logging just four minutes across five appearances.

On Wednesday, the New York Knicks announced that they assigned rookie Miles McBride to the Westchester Knicks, their affiliate in the NBA G League.

McBride has seen minimal playing time with the Knicks this season, logging just four minutes across five appearances. He has not been a part of the rotation to begin the season and will now have the opportunity to log extended minutes with Westchester.

He is expected to play on Wednesday versus the Long Island Nets.

The 36th overall pick did not log much time in the preseason but averaged 15.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals in six games during the Las Vegas Summer League. He could spend a few games with Westchester in order to see consistent playing time.

McBride is set to become the latest first-year player to log time in the G League this season. Some rookies have not had the opportunity to play much in the NBA but, with the G League operating at a full schedule again, they now have the chance to log some time in the minor league.

The contest between Westchester and Long Island can be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 7 p.m. EST.
