Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce on the new Kyrie Irving-Luka Doncic pairing

The Ticket and the Truth tried not to let their Celtics bias affect their assessments.

The collective fan bases of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets have one thing in common. They know what the wild ride that is a Kyrie Irving tenure on their favorite team looks like from start to finish.

So one can be forgiven if a member of said franchise fan bases scoffs at the idea the Dallas Mavericks’ tandem of Irving and superstar wing Luka Doncic is the best such pairing in the league. But such is the question being raised by Boston basketball royalty on a recent episode of “KG Certified.”

The eponymous host Kevin Garnett and fellow Celtics Hall of Famer Paul Pierce recently debated how much we ought to fear Luka and Kyrie on the same squad.
