Keaton Mitchell expected to play in Ravens matchup vs. Browns

Keaton Mitchell has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but the undrafted rookie is expected to play in the Ravens Week 10 matchup against the Browns

The Ravens have a huge AFC North matchup on deck against the Cleveland Browns, and breakout rookie Keaton Mitchell is expected to be available despite a hamstring injury.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Mitchell is expected to be available for Baltimore against the Browns’ No. 1 ranked defense.

The Ravens have the NFL’s No. 1 rushing offense, and the expectation is that they’ll look to hammer Cleveland’s top-ranked defensive unit with a combination of Gus Edwards and the change of pace from Mitchell and Justice Hill.

After getting a season-high 19 carries in Week 8 against the Cardinals, Edwards had a season-low five carries last week, gaining 52 rushing yards and scoring a pair of TD runs.

Edwards now has six rushing touchdowns over his last three games — five touchdown runs in his previous two games.

It’s been a slow build for Mitchell, who was placed on injured reserve after making the 53-man roster, but the wait has been well worth it.

Mitchell played all of two offensive snaps for the Ravens before last week but broke out in a big way with 138 rushing yards on just nine carries — 15.3 yards per carry — and a touchdown in the win over Seattle.
