[autotag]Kaulig Racing[/autotag] could face the reality of needing to replace both of its drivers for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Justin Haley is officially making the No. 31 car vacant after signing a full-time deal with Rick Ware Racing while A.J. Allmendinger could potentially leave Kaulig Racing’s program in the Cup Series to move back to the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
If Allmendinger were to move back down to the Xfinity Series, it would leave an opening in the No. 16 car moving forward. On PRN, Catchfence’s Lee Spencer discussed what she is hearing about Kaulig Racing’s situation and who could be possible replacements if the driver of the No. 16 car doesn’t stay in the Cup Series.
“(Kaulig Racing), I heard the potential, this is just whispers in the garage, hearing that the Kaulig ride potentially would be (Daniel Hemric) or Ty Dillon,” Spencer said.
Daniel Hemric currently drives the No. 11 car for Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity Series while Ty Dillon drives the No. 77 car for Spire Motorsports in the Cup Series. If Allmendinger is back in the Xfinity Series next season, either driver would represent a solid option for the race team.
