The Kansas City Chiefs are fresh off a win against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but while the defending champions were in Charlotte, the Kansas Jayhawks took their place at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday.
The Jayhawks are currently in the middle of a major renovation to the David Booth Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, and with construction well underway, the Chiefs were kind enough to let Kansas use its Arrowhead for a few of its home games.
Though head coach Lance Leipold’s team has underperformed this season, a few Jayhawk standouts have given the Kansas faithful hope in recent weeks, including dynamic running back Devin Neal.
Neal had a huge performance for the Jayhawks on Saturday, totaling 287 yards and four touchdowns against ‘Coach Prime’ and the No. 16 Colorado Buffaloes.
The elusive back was rightfully recognized on Monday for his performance, receiving AP Offensive Player of the Week and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, among other awards.

Though Kansas’ season will come to an end soon, expect to see lots of hype around Neal as draft boards begin to take shape.
