The Kansas City Chiefs (2-1) and New York Jets (1-2) meet Sunday night at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Chiefs vs. Jets odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Chiefs covered a -13 spread rolling the hapless Chicago Bears 41-10 in Week 3. They scored 27 points in the 2nd quarter as the Over sneaked across the finish line. KC is 2-1 ATS and face another team headed in the wrong direction. QB Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 803 yards, 7 touchdowns and 2 INTs on the young season.

The Jets were taken down, 15-10, by the New England Patriots in Week 3. The Pats covered a -2.5 spread, and the Jets are 1-2 ATS on the year. The teams failed to surpass a low 35.5 total. QB Zach Wilson drew the ire of fans, throwing 18-for-36 for 157 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs in the defeat.

Chiefs at Jets picks and predictions

Prediction

Chiefs 34, Jets 10

Moneyline

The Chiefs are rolling on offense, and Mahomes looked like the ankle he rolled 2 weeks ago is a non-factor. There is a lot of hype surrounding this team, especially considering the tabloid buzz surrounding star TE Travis Kelce‘s dating life. That could become a factor later in the year, but there’s little the Jets can do to stop them. That being said, we’re not taking 4-to-1 odds.

I would consider taking PATRICK MAHOMES UNDER 274.5 PASSING YARDS (-115). He has only topped that number in 1 of 3 games, and the Jets are allowing an average of 231 passing yards per game. The Chiefs could get up by a lot and focus on the run.

Against the spread

With how bad Wilson has looked under center, it’s a little surprising this spread isn’t in double digits yet. The Chiefs should roll, and the only chance New York has is by controlling the clock with the ground game.

I’ll take the CHIEFS -8.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Each team is 1-2 O/U to start the year. KC is 4-6 O/U over their last 10 games, and the Jets are 3-7. These teams haven’t faced one another since 2020, which resulted in a 35-9 slaughter by the Chiefs. That’s about where I see this one as well. Go easy, because we’ll have to depend on the Jets scoring at least 10, but take the OVER 41.5 (-110).
