Justine Pissott, Team USA defeats Puerto Rico

Lady Vols’ Justine Pissott and Team USA defeat Puerto Rico.

Lady Vols’ incoming freshman Justine Pissott scored 13 points for Team USA’s U18 in the 2022 FIBA Women’s Americas Championship.

Team USA defeated Puerto Rico, 93-38, Tuesday in Buenos Aries, Argentina.

Pissott, a 6-foot-4 wing player from Toms River, New Jersey, played 21 minutes. She had seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block.

Pissott was 5-for-13 from the floor and 3-for-9 from beyond the 3-point arc for Team USA, which is now 2-0 in Group B.

Team USA and Puerto Rico were tied, 12-12, at the end of the first quarter before Pissott helped Team USA to a 37-25 lead at halftime.

Team USA concludes Group B play Wednesday against El Salvador.
