Sometimes you just can’t get enough of a good thing. Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields wowed onlookers and NFL types during OSU’s pro day on March 30, but it now appears as though he’ll have a shot to do that again.
According to multiple reports, Fields will throw for NFL teams again on April 14. And this time San Francisco’s Kyle Shanahan, who missed Fields’ first impressive showing to watch Alabama’s second pro day, will be in attendance. The 49ers general manager John Lynch will also reportedly be there, among other teams. This feels like a good time to remind you that San Francisco has the third overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
The news was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Fields impressed everyone in attendance or glued to their televisions and streaming devices by unleashing long-range missiles on target, and by running a 4.44 40-yard dash — lighting fast for a quarterback.
Ohio State QB Justin Fields will throw for NFL teams again on April 14… and this time, #49ers coach Kyle Shanahan and GM John Lynch are expected to attend. Both were in Tuscaloosa watching #Bama QB Mac Jones (and others) while Fields had his first Pro Day.

Having San Francisco in attendance is a big deal because it’s beginning to look more and more like Zach Wilson will be the second quarterback off the board right after Trevor Lawrence. Frisco would potentially then be on the clock with a need at quarterback.
I mean, Justin Fields in scarlet and gold could be a lot of fun no? We’ll have more on this when things start to materialize.
