While there was no shortage of things to talk about given all the recent changes to the team that have gone down, the Boston Celtics’ players and coaches spent much of Media Day sharing their excitement over acquiring Jrue Holiday via trade.
His new teammates see him as a perfect fit with high character, a tough defender, and a game-changer on both ends of the floor. Adding Holiday to the team solidifies their championship goals, and brings a competitive force to the team that’s palpable. With Holiday and Derrick White in the backcourt, the Celtics are poised to become one of the few teams with two NBA All-Defensive caliber guards in recent years.
The hosts of ESPN’s “Sports Center” put up a clip of the Celtics gushing over the Holiday trade.
