Josh Reynolds shared a message on his Instagram story after being cut by the Broncos.

Story update: The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed Josh Reynolds off waivers on Wednesday. See our original post below.

The Denver Broncos waived veteran wide receiver Josh Reynolds on Tuesday ahead of his deadline to return from injured reserve.

After being let go by the team, Reynolds shared the following message on his Instagram story:

I just wanted to give thanks to the Broncos country for accepting me into a top notch organization and giving me a chance to ball. I wish nothing best for the team and my guys I grinded with all year đź’Ş

Reynolds, 29, signed a two-year, $9 million contract with Denver this spring. The Broncos are now set to save $4.5 million in 2025 salary cap space after parting ways with the receiver.

Reynolds was placed on IR after he underwent finger surgery last month. Reynolds was later shot twice after leaving a nightclub in the Denver area on Oct. 18. Reynolds has since recovered from his wounds and three people have been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Had the team not activated or cut Reynolds by Wednesday, he would have remained on IR for the rest of the season. The Broncos have now given him an opportunity to sign elsewhere while the team moves forward with Courtland Sutton, Devaughn Vele, Marvin Mims, Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Troy Franklin at receiver.
