Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs will not be in a uniform in Orchard Park until September.
The Buffalo Bills open the 2023 preseason at home on Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts. The duo will not play, according to head coach Sean McDermott.
After that, the team are on the road for their next two exhibition games before the regular season begins. It’s unclear how much Allen and Diggs will play throughout the preseason. Last season, Allen only played in one series in three warm-up games.
Without Allen, it’s expected that Kyle Allen will start for the Bills. Matt Barkley will then see extended playing time as well.
McDermott added that other starters will play approximately one quarter of action.
Kickoff on Saturday is slated for 1 p.m.
