Josh Allen, Jordan Poyer downplay listing on injury report

#Bills QB Josh Allen, S Jordan Poyer downplay listing on injury report ahead of facing the #Bears:

The Buffalo Bills two had unwelcomed updates on their injury report to start their week of preparation for the Chicago Bears.

However, both players downplayed it.

Ahead of the Week 16 contest, injury-plagued safety this season, Jordan Poyer, was once again finding his name listed on Tuesday.

This time, Poyer has a knee injury. So far he’s dealt with a could of bumps and bruises in 2022, most notably an elbow injury.

But no big deal this time, says Poyer.

“I’m all right, just banged it up in the game,” Poyer said via video conference referencing Buffalo’s outing with the Miami Dolphins last weekend. “Hopefully I’ll get back on the field tomorrow–Plan on playing [against the Bears]. Just resting it.”

While the starting QB’s name on the injury report would usually lead the way, it’s nothing new for Buffalo. For weeks Allen has dealt with an elbow injury of his own.

However, he had been listed as a “limited” participant in practices before games. On Tuesday, he did not practice which turned heads.

Like Poyer, Allen’s update centered around precaution.

“Just trying to limit the throws [in practice] and be smart with that,” Allen said via video conference. “But felt really good today, it felt really good.”

“I haven’t felt that good in a long time,” he added.

All good news from the horse’s mouth… regardless, Bills Wire will continue to bring all injury updates throughout the week leading up to Bills vs. Bears.
