Joel Klatt updates his top 10 college football teams after seeing Ohio State in person for the first time

How did this weekend’s games impact Joel Klatt’s college football top ten? Does he still have Ohio State No. 1 after seeing the Buckeyes in person for the first time in 2022?

Fox college football analyst Joel Klatt — along with his partner Gus Johnson — has almost become known as one of the voices of Ohio State football with as many games as he’s called over the last three seasons. Despite it all, he tends to have an unbiased and well-thought opinion when it comes to his voice compared to many others out there (ahem — cough, cough, Desmond Howard).

However, Klatt called his first Ohio State game in person in 2022 this past weekend against Iowa, so he finally saw a Buckeye team that has been playing awfully well over the last few weeks.

After the conclusion of all of the college football games for the week, Klatt gives us his opinion rankings of the top teams in the country, and there’s no doubt he took his first visit to the ‘Shoe in 2022 into consideration. He’s had Ohio State as his No. 1 team prior to this week, and you had to wonder if the early struggles on offense swayed his opinion in any way.

Week 8 had many top teams, including Georgia and Michigan, on a bye, and Tennessee played an overmatched UT Martin in what could have also been considered a bye.

Here’s how Klatt sees things after all the action was completed this weekend. This time he gave us his top 10 teams with a few just outside in his mind.
