Each week, Joel Klatt gives us his opinion of who the top teams in college football are. It’s just that… an opinion, but an opinion we tend to agree with.

After wins by Ohio State, Alabama, and Clemson, Klatt couldn’t put one over the other. The Buckeyes easily took care of Penn State and Alabama rolled past Mississippi State. Clemson struggled just a tad with Boston College but were without the services of Trevor Lawrence who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week.

What is one to do when three teams look to be head and shoulders above the rest? Well, Klatt put all three on his top line. That’s right, the Fox Sports analyst believes there are three teams and then everyone else. And to be honest, he’s probably right.

Ohio State hosts a better than expected Rutgers team this week and looks to keep momentum rolling. Michigan, who was ranked No. 8 in Klatt’s previous poll, dropped out his top ten completely after a loss to 25 point underdog Michigan State. And at 2-0, Indiana is creeping up Klatt’s list as well.

There’s still a lot of football to be played this season, but it looks like Klatt’s top three are in a class all by themselves.
