The Philadelphia 76ers have a lot of veterans on their team such as Al Horford, Josh Richardson, and Tobias Harris who have the experience to lean on when the time calls for it. Even Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons–both young guys in their own right–have seen a lot in their brief time in the league.
However, the Sixers will be leaning on a lot of younger players in the Orlando restart. They will turn to second-year guard Shake Milton to move into the starting lineup and run things as they chase a championship while rookie Matisse Thybulle and third-year forward Furkan Korkmaz will play bigger roles well.
As the team convenes in Orlando to resume the 2019-20 season, Embiid is happy with what he has seen from the youngsters on the team in camp thus fr.
“The young guys have been great,” said the big fella. “I’m pretty young myself, but for those guys being in the league for about one or two years, they’ve been great. They’re doing what they’re asked of and they’ve been doing a tremendous job of making sure they’re ready when we need them to be.”

Milton is going to be a huge piece of this team’s restart. Whether it’s to be a shooter and an offensive stabilizer or to be a guy to supplement the bigger guys on the roster. Thybulle’s defense is also going to be a key piece of the success and the team will need Korkmaz’s shooting.
When the season does resume on August 1 for them against the Indiana Pacers, they will be looking for help from the younger guys to help the team navigate through what they hope will be a deep title run. [lawrence-related id=35325,35318,35308]
