Joe Osovet named Vols’ tight ends coach, will bring ‘unreal football mind’ to staff

Tennessee promotes Joe Osovet to tight ends coach.

KNOXVILLE — Joe Osovet, Tennessee’s Director of Programming for Football, has been promoted to tight ends coach for the Volunteers.

Vols Wire was informed of Osovet’s promotion by someone close to the situation Friday morning.

Osovet came to Tennessee in Feb. 2018 from ASA College where he served as head coach. He held a position of Player Development for Tennessee in 2018 during Jeremy Pruitt’s first season as the Vols’ head coach.

Osovet’s agent, Bryan Blair, also discussed his client’s promotion, to now coaching on-field for Tennessee, with Vols Wire.

“This is the opportunity Joe has been grinding for,” Blair told Vols Wire. “Now that he has the opportunity, the sky is the limit.

“He is one of the best recruiters and coaches I have ever seen because of his energy and authenticity. Joe is a tireless worker and an unreal football mind. I am excited for his future.”
