Joe Milton’s 81-yard run versus UTSA is the Vols’ longest by a quarterback in program history.

Redshirt senior quarterback Joe Milton III had a historic performance in Tennessee’s win versus UTSA.

Milton III completed 18-of-31 passing attempts for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He also recorded 89 rushing yards and scored one touchdown on five attempts.

Milton III scored on an 81-yard touchdown, Tennessee’s first offensive play of the game.

It was the longest run by a quarterback in Tennessee history and tied the tenth-longest rushing attempt by any player in program history. Halfback Hank Lauricella also recorded an 81-yard run versus Tennessee Tech on Nov. 11, 1950, while attempting 65 passing attempts in the same season.
