Jim Harbaugh: ‘[Alabama] could clear run us out of the stadium’

The Rose Bowl could get interesting fast and Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh knows what Alabama is capable of.

Alabama snuck into the College Football Playoffs as the No. 4 team and will have to face the top-ranked Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl semifinal on Jan. 1 with a national title appearance on the line. These two programs are among the strongest in the nation, but many are unsure how it will play out.

Both defenses have proven to be elite, with most questions looming over their respective offenses. Experts have tried their hand at predicting the final score, but all of them are fairly close games, regardless of which team they have winning.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh recently shared his thoughts on how the game could play out.

“Been studying Alabama, they’re really good. So good. I mean, they could clear run us out of the stadium. And we’re good, too. We’ve got the ability to really do the same to them or the other possibility is it could be one heck of a football game. And I kind of think that’s the way it’s gonna go.”

Harbaugh played it safe by basically speaking highly of both teams and mentioning every possibility of an outcome. In a sense, it’s refreshing to have a coach openly say that the other team is great and fully capable of winning in blow out fashion.
