Jets part ways with RB La’Mical Perine

A 2020 fourth-round pick for the Jets has been cut

A 2020 fourth-round pick at running back has been let go by the Jets.

New York has waived RB La’Mical Perine, per Brian Costello of the New York Post, as they begin their cuts down to 53 players.

With the additions of Michael Carter and Breece Hall over the last two drafts, Perine was pushed down the depth chart and his chances of making the team this season were likely slim for a while.

Perine rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in ten games, missing time due to an ankle sprain.

He appeared in just four games last season and saw just eight carries for 31 yards.
